2- The Ten-Thousand Dollar Burger Challenge

Howard Lederer is one of the best poker players in the world who has won almost 6 million dollars through live tournaments. He was overweight and he was advised by doctors to be a vegan so he can add years to his life. He followed their advice and lost 75 lbs. A fellow poker player, David Grey bet ten-thousand dollars that Lederer will not eat a cheeseburger. He lost his money as Lederer did not have any problem eating the burger.

3- Gambling Against One’s Cancer

Jon Matthews got diagnosed with cancer and he started laying out bets against his own life. He made 8,300 by simply living for his first year, he made another 8,300 during the second year before he died in May of 2010.

4- The Drag Bet

Virgin Airlines owner, Richard Branson offered Tony Fernandes, the AirAsia chief a very interesting bet. He bet that his racing team will be better than the debut Lotus team in the Formula One Season. The loser will dress in women’s clothing and serve on the airlines of the winner for one day.
