Atlantic Lotto Pulls the Plug of GeoSweep

The Atlantic Lottery Corporation has made an announcing saying that it will proceed  with its aims to seek expansion opportunity in order to create a cash flow. This announcement came after one week of shutting down the online lottery game, GeoSweep. The Atlantic Lottery represents several governments including Newfoundland & Labrado , New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. This announcement makes it clear that the corporation still has a strategy for expansion despite the failure of its most recent project, GeoSweep.

Patrick Daigle, the Chief Financial Officer of the Lottery has stated that if our goal was to succeed 100% in every project, there will be no room for innovation or growth.  He was most likely referring to the failure of the recent project. He also stated that the lack of growth is certainly going to affect the cash flows to the governments of the 4 provinces in Canada, especially since the Atlantic Lotto is not a monopoly anymore.

The first attempt of the Atlantic Lottery to expand and invest in the online venture through GeoSweep failed badly. After checking more than one opportunity from Albania to Illinois, the corporation decided to invest in the United Kingdom based firm named Robereus. It spent a total of 8.7 million dollars and it adopted the GeoSweep internet lottery game. Sadly, the lottery decided to drop the idea and pull the plug because it did not gain the needed popularity.
