Kevin Andrews, who is the speaker for the family, housing, and human services Coalition is defending the proposed answer of the coalition to the oversight of gambling in Australia. Mr. Andrews stated that the industry of gambling in the country is being maligned for attitudes that it does not even have and it tends to ignore any good suggestions. The entire idea behind the proposal of the Coalitions is to attract the expertise of those who have taken interest in the Australian problem gambling issues. He also stated that there have been many occasions where the officials of Australia would have profited a lot if they have listened to their given advices. In simpler words, the failed policies of the Labor’s govt. occurred because they failed to listen to the pragmatists, this is why they placed policies that are not effective.

The spokesperson has also stated before that they want to demolish the current regulator for gambling in Australia and replace the national regulator with a much better advisory council. This replacement council would include a number of representatives who will represent the clubs as well as other companies who have an interest in the gaming industry in the country. It will also have experts in the industry. This council will have a meeting 4 times every year in order to put a plan in order to face problem gambling in Australia. According to the mandate of the council that was proposed by Tony Abbott as well as his allies, this council will target the initiatives that are proposed by support and counseling services.

After this proposal was hammered by heavy criticism, Kevin Andrew took an offensive position and attacked the contention of Labor and stated that the executives in the gaming industry don’t only have a conflict of interest, as he added that they are predatory as well.
