A great move was taken by Bwin.party digital entertainment. This move resulted from the great possibility of an upcoming interstate poker legislation to be applied in the state of California which is a part of the slowly grinding out of poker in the U.S following Black Friday. This move is the partnership it has struck with the UAIC, the United Auburn Indian Community in California. The UAIC is the legal operator and owner of the Thunder Valley Casino Resort that is located close to Sacramento in California.
Bwin.party also presented the needed papers in order to take part in the online poker market of Nevada and it would use its software on behalf of MGM resorts. Through a press release several facts about the agreement and partnership between Bwin.party and the UAIC were revealed, the first point is that the deal will have the duration of ten years. This period will start the moment that their joint poker services are released on the internet. The second one is that the proposed tax rate will be 10 percent from the net revenue.
Commenting on such partnership, the co CEOs of Bwin.party, Norbert Teufelberger and Jim Ryan stated that California is considered one of the biggest states in the U.S in regards with residents numbers, and a large number of them is known to like online poker. This is why they see that the merging between the assets and different resources of Bwin.party and the UAIC will be very good for both parties and for the customers as it will supply them with the best online poker experience out there.
