News coming from the online gambling market of Serbia as tremendous amount of anger has been caused as a result of the deal that was struck between Serbia’s state lottery and Sportingbet, the gambling group based in the United Kingdom. This anger is coming from the Association of Gambling Operators of Eastern Europe as the association states that such a partnership is prevented by the laws of the country. Anger also came from the local companies as the state lottery has favored a company from outside the country over the companies available at home.

The association released a statement that said that by such agreement, the laws of the country are being broken and all of the local and national companies are being sidelined in the favor of foreign operators. Not only that, but the state lottery has chosen to partnership with a company that has a lot of controversy around it and its reputation is very questionable. The deal was also done in a secretive way which denied the participation of the local companies who should have the advantage over foreign companies, not the other way around.

The state lottery has once become partners with a foreign company as this is not its first time. The state lottery already has a partnership with Playtech that provides it with poker and casino related games.
