David Baker WSOP Win

David Baker, the professional poker player from Texas has secured a WSOP bracelet by winning event 37, the 2,500 buy in 8 Game Mix event. He also went back home with 271,312 dollars. This event had a total of 476 participants who were eager to reach the final table but only eight of them reached the glorious final table.

The players who reached the final table alongside David Baker included Joseph Couden, Chris Viox, Konstantin Puchkov and Greg Mueller. They battled it out until the final three remained. They were David Baker, Greg Mueller and Kevin Calenzo’s. Then Kevin Calenzo got eliminated which resulted in a confrontation between David Baker and Greg Mueller.

This was on the 4th day of the event and Greg had a chip lead of 3 to 1. This didn’t last for long as the experience that Baker has in WSOP final tables finally kicked in. He started to take the chip lead step by step and after more than 1 hour, he succeeded in eliminating his rival to win the final table. Of course Greg is happy with the second place as it secured him a total of 167,637 dollars.

This WSOP win will make the total earning of Baker from tournaments equals an outstanding 2.5 million dollars in 8 years of playing professional poker.
