The two finalists in the WSOP event 54 that was a one thousand dollar buy in No Limit Hold’em sure succeeded in making a lot of noise. The two finalists were Will Jaffe from the United States of America and Luis Campelo from Brazil. These two players ignited the crowds as the chants of USA and ole ole ole really shock the place. They supplied the viewer and the fans with a very dynamic and rough competition. They showed great talent and skill.
At the end, the New Yorker came on top and was able to celebrate the Fourth of July while wearing his 1st WSOP bracelet. Not only that but he went home with 500,075 dollars in his pockets. The runner up, Luis Campelo didn’t go home empty handed as he went back with a 309,429 dollar. In order for these two to be the two finalists, they had to fight their way between 3,211 other participants who participated in this event.
The competition has taken 3 days of hard and intense competition between the players until the two players were the only two remaining. At level thirty Three, it was called a night and they had to come for a fourth day in order to have the one on one confrontation to declare the winner. When they were face to face, it was obvious that Jaffe was going to dispatch his rival as he had a big lead of 2:1. It didn’t go that easy as the Brazilian player succeeded in taking that lead but Will Jaffe stroke back and was able to dispatch his opponent to become the winner.
