Changes at Zynga

The social gaming giant that is based in San Francisco, Zynga Inc has stated that it is undergoing changes in its operating staff during its most recent re organization of the firm in order to revive the growth of the company. This change is the resignation of the Chief Operating Officer of Zynga, John Schappert.

In July, Zynga has appointed Ellen Siminoff the experienced professional and added him to the directors’ board and the audit committee. This appointment came following a reported increase of 19% in the 1st half revenues of the company when compared to the same period of 2011. The profits reached an amazing 332.5 million American dollars despite the fact that the net income of the company for the same period suffered from a drop.

According to reports, John Schappert used to work at one of the leading developers of video games, Electronic Arts Inc, also known as EA. He had a pay package that was worth almost forty two million American dollars but he lost support within the company because he took some of the blame for the bad performance that the company witnessed.

According to a statement by Zynga, the company stated that the departure of John Schappert was not a result of any problems with the company or its policies. Instead, the statement thanked John Schappert for all of his important contributions to the company and the gaming industry and that the company thanks him for all what he has done to the company.
