Gala’s Bingo Before Tax

Gala Coral Group Ltd that is based in Nottingham, which is one of the biggest operators in the world of gambling, whether online or land based has announced its financial reports for the 12 weeks that ended in June. The reports shows that the company has witnessed a 9% increase y-o-y in its turnover as it amounted up to 275.2 million British pounds.

The company’s report also showed that the earning before deducting tax, amortization, depreciation and interest for the 3rd quarter of 2012 increased by fourteen percent when compared to the same quarter of 2011 as it reached 7.9 million British pounds. This means that the gross profit of Gala Coral Group during the 3rd quarter of this year reached 215.4 million British pounds which is considered an increase of 11% of the gross profit of the same period of last year.

As for the earnings of its bingo operations before deducting tax, amortization, depreciation and interest, it increased by a 21% when compared to the third quarter of 2011. This increase was caused by an increase in the money spent per head and due to strong and powerful margins. The number of active players for the interactive business of Gala Coral also witnessed an increase. The number of active customer increase by sixty one percent when compared to the same period of last year.

Commenting on this, the Chief exec of Gala Coral, Carl Leaver stated that this amazing positive growth that was witnessed in the 3rd quarter of 2012 represents the first real y-o-y increase for the company in several years. He also added that the company is planning to continue with this momentum to achieve more positive results.
