The 2nd domain name that belongs to William Hill has just been added to the list of online gambling companies by the govt. of Belgium. This came as a result of the accusations that were aimed towards William Hill by the gaming commission of Belgium that stated that the online gambling operator did not have the needed licenses for internet gambling that would allow it to operate legally in Belgium, thus adding it to the blacklist of infamous online operators. The gaming commission of Belgium has enlarged the list of online gambling companies who are still offering gambling services in the Belgian market and have added them to the blacklist.
This year witnessed the introduction of a new licensing system that allows only a small number of internet gambling operators to offer internet poker in the country. They must acquire special licenses in order to operate legally.
The listed online gambling companies include big and international names such as Betfair, William Hill, Chilipoker, Titan, 888, Stan James and Betclic. The govt. has also stated that the players who continue to play at these blacklisted casinos would also be fined with fines that can amount up to twenty five thousand Euros. The operators will also face some fines. Not only that but internet providers will also be requested to prevent people from accessing these blacklisted websites, this request was proposed by the gambling authority of Belgium.
