Great news for Ontario players as they will be able to safely gamble online without having to leave the comfort of their own homes.
This will become possible as the OLG (Ontario Lottery & Gaming Corp) has announced that it has selected a vendor that will run its online gambling operations.
The OLG has stated that this internet program is going to be launched in different phases toward the end of 2013 with casino style games and lottery games available to the residents of Ontario who are of legal age to gamble.
Commenting on this, the CEO & president of the OLG, Rod Phillips, said that this move into the world of online gambling is a very exciting step for OLG. This will allow lottery fans to purchase ENCORE, LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 tickets through the OLG official website.
As for the casino games, they will be provided to the OLG by Spielo G2 which is based in the United Kingdom as it has won the bid after a very competitive procurement process.
These casino games will include table games, slots and video poker. The following phases of the process will include internet poker, sports betting and bingo as well as the introduction of new gambling products.
Rod Phillips has stated that Spielo G2 is a very experienced company in the industry and that it will be able to provide the OLG with an interactive gaming solution of the highest quality possible.
It will also provide them with a responsible gambling solution, as players will be able to take breaks from gaming to manage their internet play by setting spending limits.
