William Hill is a well known name in the UK gambling market and the world. It has a US subsidiary that runs its business in the United States, it is William Hill US. William Hill US has decided to remove the sportsbetting kiosks from half of the eighty four taverns, restaurant and bars that it operates from in the great state of Nevada. This means that US patrons are not going to be able to create an account, fund their account, withdraw their funds or even place any bets through these kiosks, as they will have to pay a visit to the traditional sportsbook that is casino based in order to do any of that.
William Hill has stated that the gamblers are still going to be able to add funds to their mobile accounts and will still receive updates betting lines on sporting games. Will Hill stated that they are currently repositioning from the land based kiosks to mobile sportsbook deposit hotspots. This was stated by the William Hill US’ , Business Development Director, Dan Shapiro. He added that players will not be able to withdraw money or make bets but they will still be able to make cash deposits.
This move by William Hill US comes following the announcement of the Senate Bill 416, which is a new law that resulted in the banning of sportsbetting kiosks that are located in the premises of facilities that hold restricted licenses. This is why they are going to remove these kiosks from bars, restaurants and taverns that have restricted licenses.
