Today, the singles semi finals for the men’s competition in Wimbledon is not quite what most people expected or wanted but it will still be an entraining and an exciting day nonetheless. Three of the biggest names in the sports, Rafael Nadal, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Roger Federer have all exited the competition early. Nonetheless, two of the biggest four names in the sport will be in action today.
The number 1 tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic has an 8 to 3 lead on his opponent in the semi final match, the 8th seeded player from Argentina, Juan Martin Del Potro. Although that gives him the advantage but Novak Djokovic has never faced against Juan Martin Del Potro on a grass court before. The two of them are tied 2-2 on clay while Novak Djokovic has a commanding lead of six to one on hard courts. So this match on the grass court should be very interesting.
As for the other semi final match, the 2nd seeded player who is a hometown favorite, Andy Murray will face a very unexpected player, Jerzy Janowicz who is seeded at 24. Jerzy Janowicz will make history as he is the first ever Polish player that participates in a semi final match at a grand slam competition.
Players can find the best odds on these two matches at William Hill. These odds are 4 to 6 for Djokovic, 16 to 1 for Janowicz, 7 to 4 for Murray and 14 to 1 for Del Potro.
