The ASA (Advertisement Standards Authority) of the United Kingdom has banned another internet gambling television ad. This time, it is a TV ad that is commission by one of the biggest online and land based gambling operators that is based in the UK, William Hill. This ad advertised the Live Casino game offerings of the operator. The ad that was banned by the ASA involved a very hot and female live casino dealer that advertised the Live Casino gaming product that is offered by William Hill.
The Advertisement Standards Authority stated that the advertisements linked internet gambling with sexual success and seduction simply because the dealer was hot and attractive. In the opinion of the ASA, this fools viewers into believing that online gambling through the Live Casino will lead to success in their sexual life.
The gambling operator responded to the arguments of the Advertisement Standards Authority as it rejects it completely. The gambling operator stated that the ad intended to show that the live casino product will authentically reflect the atmosphere of a real life casino. William Hill added that the female dealer in the advertisement looked like any ordinary female dealer in a land based gambling venue. The ASA responded and stated that the outfit that the dealer was wearing was not relevant to the case and that it upholds its decision.
This ad was commissioned 1 year ago and it was banned by the ASA after the Reform and Society Perception Group filed a complaint to the ASA and asking it to ban it.
