Bwin.Party enters new basketball sponsorship in Belgium

Bwin.Party, the well known online gambling operator that powers many popular brands such as Party Poker and PartyCasino has announced that it has entered a 3-year sponsorship deal that will start this season, 2013-2014 and will end in 2015-2015 with BC Oostende. According to the terms of this deal, Bwin.Party will be the official gaming partner and online betting partner of the basketball team, which is arguably the most successful basketball team in all of Belgium.

As a part of the sponsorship agreement, Bwin.Party is going to create games, widgets and apps that will feature the branding of the basket ball team, BC Oostende. Bwin.Party is also going to be able to benefit from a wide range of in stadium branding, match day promotions and ticket promotions as well as full access to the basket ball team’s players for very unique and unmatched customer experiences. On top of all of that, the operator is going to be integrated into the social and online media channels of the club, which will further expand and increase its exposure in the Belgian market, especially among the basketball fans.

Marlon Van Der Goes, the Belgium country manager of Bwin.Party has stated that this agreement will strongly reinforce the position of the company in the country as a premium sportsbook for the Belgian clients. It will also enable it to offer a wide array of unmatched real world and online offers to these players. This new deal is considered to be the newest sponsorship deal of the online gambling operator. It will be added to the long slit of sponsorships and partnerships with big names in different sports such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and the Italian club, Juventus.

Playtech Confirms Front Office Changes

Playtech is one of the biggest two names in the game and software development industry for online casinos. It powers many successful online casinos such as Winner Casino. The software developer has confirmed that there is a great number of changes that will take place in the front office of the company after the retirement of Roger Wither’s from his position as the executive director of the company. Although he is officially retired, he will stay as an advisor on the industry matters until the end of September of 2014.

As a result of the retirement of John Withers, the previous non executive senior director of Playtech, Alan Jackson, has been appointed as the non-executive chairman of the company. On top of that, Playtech appointed Hilary Stewart as its non-executive director. Hilary Stewart is joining Playtech from DLA Piper, the law firm. She will be the head of the Remuneration Committee and Risk and Compliance Committee. She will still remain a consultant for DLA Piper.
