CA OLG to Hold Spring Grand Slam Poker Tournament on March 23 2014

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is all set to hold the Spring Grand Slam Poker Tournament at The Poker Pit of the OLG Casino Sault Ste. Marie, on March 23, 2014 (Sunday). The tourney is open to Canadians and Americans who are 19 years of age or older, and must not be included in OLG’s list of self-excluded, archived or banned players or in any way connected to the gaming corporation and its affiliates, whether as a volunteer, employee, officer or director.

Player participation is at a minimum of 11 registered attendees but capped up to a maximum of 33 for every tournament day. In the event that all tourney seats have been sold out, a likely player may request for his or her inclusion in the seat-waiting list. If any of the registered players drop out on the day of the tournament, the available seat will be assigned to those listed in the waiting list. Names will be called in accordance with the order by which they appear and until all seats for the day’s qualifying round have been filled.

An entry fee of CA$100 plus a CA$15 administration fee must be paid upon registration or upon confirmation and acceptance of a wait-list designated seat. Registered players will each receive a stack of chips worth $10,000 at the start of the tournament, which they will use in vying for the estimated pool prize of CA$3,300. Every participant is entitled to one re-buy at a value of CA$50 for another stack of $10,000 worth of chips and only during the first eight (8) rounds.
