Old Skool, a game development studio based in Vancouver, Canada has joined Odobo, a HTML5 games development program and platform provider licensed by the Government of Gibraltar. This denotes that the Canadian game developer will be using Odobo’s consumer-facing Odobo Marketplace, a games portal that serves as a business to business (B2B) content app store available to online gambling operators looking to add HTML5-built games that they can add to their online and mobile content offerings.
Old Skool has been in the business of developing first-rate social and real-money casino games since its establishment in 2009 and has collaborated with a number of American companies such as the Seattle-based casual game publisher GameHouse, with California’s global entertainment software company Electronic Arts, the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma-owned and provider of Class II casino games, Rocket Gaming System and with Microsoft. It has also provided work to Canada’s British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), which owns and operates PlayNow.com, the only regulated gaming site in B.C. province
The CEO of Old Skool Mike McGraw said that his company has thrived as an outsourced game development partner during the past five years, focusing mostly on casino games. “However, we’ve always had a vision to produce our own innovative content from scratch. When we met with Odobo in early 2013, we knew we’d found the perfect partner to bring our games to regulated markets,” said McGraw.
At the Odobo Marketplace, Old Skool will be having its own profile page as this will serve as its new marketing channel in which to promote its game development studio, the approved casino games it has developed, as well as the online gambling facilities that support Old Skool’s real-money casino games.
