The BCLC (British Columbia Lottery Corp) has released its latest annual report that showed its highlights, achievements and earnings for the period of 2012-2013. According to the reports of the Lottery Corp. the group has earned a total of 1.128 billion dollars in the form of net income. This sum was used in order to fund the many charity and community programs in Canada and the province of British Columbia. This amount was broken down as follows to the different community programs and charities:
– 147.3 million dollars were given to Health Special Account for education, research, health care as well as the promotion of vital health issues.
– 706.8 million were given to the govt. of the province for different public services.
-84.5 million were given to thirty one host that belong to the local governments that own casinos or gaming centers.
– 135 million were given to five-thousand different community and charity organization in the province of British Columbia.
The Highlights of the BCLC for 2012 2013
According to the reports, the BCLC had several highlights during the year between 2012 and 2013 in terms of responsible gambling campaigns, partnerships and achievement. The first highlight is the launch of Lotto Express by the BCLC. It is a lotto that offers players the ability the buy tickets for the lottery through a credit/debit PIN pad.
