Two of the biggest names in the online gambling industry in terms of software development for casinos went head to head during the EGR’s annual B2B Awards. These two names are Microgaming and Playtech, the long time rivals. Playtech was able to beat its competitor by winning 4 prestigious awards while Microgaming only went home with 3 awards.
Playtech is the name behind some of the biggest casinos in the industry such as Winner Casino. It’s name was recognized in 4 different categories. Playtech has won the awards for Bingo Supplier, Slots Provider, Poker Network and the Bingo network of the year. These awards made it the most awarded name in this year’s EGR’s annual B2B Awards, the biggest online gambling award night.
As for the competition, Microgaming that powers several A List online casinos like Jackpot City and Gaming Club, it was able to scoop 3 awards for Innovation in RNG Casino software, Innovation in Bingo and Poker Software of the year. Net Entertainment was also awarded a few awards for Innovation in Slot Provision, Innovation on Mobile and Mobile supplier of the year besides winning a special commendation for its slots.
It was not all about software developers as other companies were recognized as well such as Skrill. Skrill showed that it has been elevating its business since it has changed its name from Moneybookers to Skrill two years ago. It received two payment provider awards for Mobile Payment Solution and Payment Company of the year.
