Odds for the Turner Prize at William Hill

The Turner Prize is a very prestigious award that is given to contemporary artists. This award was set up in the year 1948. Every year, since the prize was established, the prize is given to an artist from Britain who is under 50 years old in honor of his or her outstanding exhibition in the previous year. The potential winners of this prize are nominated and selected by a jury whose members are changed from year to year. The nominees list is downsized to four outstanding artists who are then required to perform a show that usually takes place at the Tate Britain. The outright prizewinner is then declared in the last month of the year, in December.

The four artists who made it to the short list for this year’s award are Laure Prouvost who was nominated for her amazing piece of art that is called Wantee at Tate and Grizedale Arts. The second artist is Tino Sehgal. The third artist is David Shrigley for his amazing exhibition, Brain Activity and lastly, Lynette Yiadom Boakye for her exhibition, Chisenhale Gallery.
