William Hill, the land based and online British gambling operator has extended its affiliation with the Scottish Football Cup. The gaming operator has signed a 2-year extension to its current deal with the Football Association of Scotland. This will enable the operator to have its name on the Scottish Cup for 2 more years. Apart from the sponsorship of the Scottish Club, the gambling operator is also an official supporter of the national men’s team of the country

The original deal was inked in August, two years ago in 2011. It was a 3-year sponsorship contract.. This extension is going to allow William Hill to keep showcasing its mobile, retail and online products to the Scottish soccer fans. The Chief Marketing Officer of William Hill, Kristof Fahy, has stated that it is such a great honor for William Hill to associate itself and extend its relationship with the prestigious Scottish Cup. This is because it is one of the oldest association trophies in the soccer world.

On the other hand, the Football Association of Scotland has stated that this new 7-figure deal is a very big boost for the Scottish football world and that it will make the competition better and bigger over the upcoming years. This extension also shows the success of the partnership that is only 2 years old. The Chief Executive of the Association, Stewart Regan, added that they are very delighted that William Hill decided to reaffirms its commitment to the sport by extending the current contract.
